Don’t forget to train your mind too…
Physical activity is a fantastic way to improve your joints, bones and your overall health, but did you know it is also beneficial to your mental health and wellbeing?
Physical activity doesn’t mean having to confine yourself inside a gym for hours, it can look different for everyone!
Walking, cycling, or jogging outdoors
Unstructured activity like play time with pets or young children
Structured activity like competitive sports
The key is to find an activity that you enjoy and that keeps you motivated to keep returning to it.
Engaging in just 10 minutes of physical activity a day has huge potential to enhance your wellbeing, increase your mental alertness, energy, and lift your mood. Regular exercise can increase your self-esteem, reduce stress and anxiety, and help prevent the development of mental health and cognitive problems.
Life can often feel like one uphill struggle, especially with the twists and turns COVID has brought us! Taking time to explore how you’re truly feeling emotionally and mentally is so important right now.
BODYCORE’s Level 2 Mental Health Awareness course provides Trainees with an understanding and awareness of mental health, and common mental health disorders and issues. It helps reduce stigma and discrimination and encourages people to talk about mental health.
The qualification provides Trainees with the ability to apply their knowledge of mental health through recognising and responding to the signs of mental ill health in themselves, and in others. Trainees will be able to offer mental health first aid to people experiencing mental ill health.
Our course content is created by people who truly care about people, and your assigned PT MENTOR®️ will be there to guide, advise and motivate you during your training.
